I got a skateboard from my sister for my birthday present.
It's white and it glows at night.
I'm working on it but it is very hard.
I hope I can ride it better.

Best role model

  In writing class we discussed many disney princess and Merida. Among princesses we discussed in class I think Merida is the most positive role model for girls. There are many good princesses but I think Merida has many good things for girls. Also some old princesses such as Snow white, Cinderella, sleeping beauty is a lot different with modern princesses. Old princesses do house chores, sing, and wait for destiny(prince) to come. However princesses like Merida, Jasmine tries to change their fate. They are very brave, adventurous, and doesn't fear failing. This can be role model for girls to be brave.

  Brave is what modern princesses have in common. Among them I think Merida has more courage and she is more adventurous than other princesses. In the movie Merida doesn't fear. She rides her horse 'Angus' to the forest, climb up the rock, drink water from the waterfall, and fight with bear. Courage is what most girls don't have. Unlike other girls Merida is very brave. This is what not only girls but boys should learn too.

  Unlikly with old princesses Merida tries to change her fate. She doesn't wait for the fate to come. She looks for it and tries to change it by her actions. This is a lot different with other princesses. In the movie Merida does anythings to change her fate(marrying). She even ask a witch to cast a spell on her mother. Merida is active(she is not passive). I think this is a really good point to learn from her.

  Merida is a lot different with other disney princesses. However I think this point can be good role model for modern girls. Eventhough Merida is different with others she is brave, adventurous, and tries to change her fate herself. This reason I think Merida is a positive role model for girls.

The Brave

  The Brave is movie about a brave and stubborn princess changing her fate. At the end of the movie the main character Merida said 'Fate is within us. Fate is what we make.' During the movie Merida believes that fate is not decided yet.  Merida thinks fate is what we make by our actions. Merida's speech was very impressive to me. It made me think about the fate again.

  Before watching this movie I always thought that fate is already decided and we are following the fate which is already decided. However in this movie Merida challenges her fate and changes it. Now I believe that our little action can change our whole fate. If I want to change my fate I can do it by my little actions! All I need to do is doing action which can change me.

  Merida thought that the spell of a witch would change her mother (Queen Elinor) and her fate. However she was wrong. What changed her mother and her fate was not the spell. It was change in Merida's mind. In the beginning of this movie Merida and her mother was little selfish. They didn't think about each other and they didn't even tried to understand each other. After the Queen changed into bear they started to understand each other. Finally they realized that they loved each other a lot.

  What I used to think about fate changed a lot after watching this movie. From now on, I will try a lot to change my fate and lead it into right way. I will help my family to find the right way of their fate. I hop a lot of people can change their fate.

what adults can learn from children

  I watched about Adora Svitak on TED in writing class. She talked about what adults can learn from children. It was very impressive and after watching this video I thought that adults have many things to learn from children. I was impressed when she talked about her thought and experience.

  Children are leaders of tomorrow. Svitak said "You must lend your ear because we are the leader of tomorrow". Children will make our future. Therefore we must listen to them. Adults should listen to us and encourage us for the future.

  Also children don't give up even though it is hard for them to do. Kids don't think about the difficulty or the result. They only think about good ideas.

  Lastly, children and adults have a lot to share. Kids do learn a lot from adults, but in some way adults or teachers should be taught by students or children. Kids do so much better than adults sometimes.

  There are many things adults need to learn from children. Maybe I can teach adults about how not to be afraid of failing. Adults will listen to me and learn things from me.

30 days challenge

  On TED I watched about 30 days challenge. After watching it I made my 30 days challenge. For 30 days I will solve math problem every day, I will write diary everyday, and exercise regularly. I am not good at doing things regularly so it would be hard but I will try my best. And I will NOT watch TV, play computer game, and play with my cell phone. 30 days challenge will change me a lot. I hop I can keep my 30 days challenge. I want to do this after I go home too. Good luck!
